Year 6 Class Teacher
I am from Manchester, England where I have lived and worked for the majority of my life until now. My passion during my school years was English Literature, which I went on to study at Lancaster University. After graduating, I spent some time volunteering in schools and nurseries around Lancaster, which inspired me to pursue a career in primary education. It felt a privilege to be a part of young children’s growth as individual, independent thinkers. After completing my PGCE, I was offered a job working in Key Stage 2 in a suburban school back in Manchester, where I have worked for three years until now. I decided to come to teach in Tanzania to follow a long term dream of travelling, combined with my love of education. So far, Morogoro International School has proven itself to be a friendly, happy place filled with children and staff who are enthusiastic and motivated about learning.
Away from school, I enjoy reading as much as possible, watching live music, seeing new places and eating good food! I feel that moving here to Morogoro was a great decision to make; I look forward to being an active part of the school community.
