Anti-bullying week happened this week. At MIS we used it to highlight that bullying in any form is
not tolerated. Mr Street did an assembly in the Secondary school to emphasise this. Whatever the differences between us we need to learn to accept and not see as reasons to tease or focus on. The diversity between people is what makes MIS and society in general so rich and interesting. It would be so boring if we were all identical!
The other theme for anti-bullying week this year is that ‘Change starts with us’. Meaning students, teachers and parents. All should be playing their part to stand up to anything that is not right and to have a positive voice to support and encourage each other not to criticise or judge each other. On Friday each student was asked to wear different socks as an illustration that different does not mean bad it just means different!
