At MIS, we strongly believe that creating confident and successful young people is a team effort. As a school we encourage children, even from a very young age, to take responsibility for their own learning and their own actions. We have high expectations of all our pupils and want them to have the same high expectations of themselves. Teachers are approachable and helpful but equally they demand high standards of behaviour and effort from the pupils. This bond between the teacher and the pupil is an outstanding feature of Morogoro International School. However, we are also very aware of the critical role that parents and carers can play in the development of our children.

We, therefore, make every effort to involve the parents in the activities of the school and the education of their children. There are many events and activities organised by MIS where parents are encouraged to attend. A weekly newsletter, The Moro Times, is sent out by e-mail to every parent keeping them abreast of what is going on at the school as well as informing them of upcoming events. There is a general letter sent to the parents from the Headteacher twice a term presenting the bigger picture as to the future of the school and how we are implementing its strategic plan. The entire MIS community can keep in touch with the news and views by connecting with our Twitter feed and Facebook page.
