The Junior UWC tournament took place between 14th and 15th February involved over 50 children from the primary school. MIS came home with 5 trophies….1st place for the U9 boys’ soccer, 1st place for the mixed touch rugby, 2nd place for the girls’ soccer, 1st place in the swimming gala and also MIS won the sportsmanship award!
A huge thanks was given by Mr Street in a whole school assembly on Thursday 20th February where he emphasized the great team spirit and attitude of all of the MIS students who went on the weekend. This attitude was commented on by the organizers of the event. MIS really does now have a great reputation for its amazing team spirit at these events! A special thanks to Lugano and Yuki for their coaching and mentoring of the younger players. Thanks to all of the staff who coached, supervised and generally supported the teams over the weekend.
